Ooh Harry, you dirty dog.

Here be a little thing I wrote last week at the Sectus picnic drabblethon for the prompt 'Omnioculars'. Rating PG-13, word count - 350ish.



"You do know,” said Harry, turning the small device over in his hand, “that these are completely immoral, don't you?”

George shrugged. "The Ministry pays me well for this range of products. One can never be too vigilant, especially these days with the goblins raising their heads again. Anyway, I asked you here to trial these,” he said, removing the strange looking Omnioculars from Harry’s hand, “not to give me a lecture on morality.”

"That may be," replied Harry, "but these long range surveillance devices of yours do more than just survey. They can invade a person's privacy, and some might call them indecent."

"I'm sure they'll be safe in your hands," George answered. Harry frowned. He wasn't so sure, given the right... motivation.

"What about Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes?"

The colour in George’s face suddenly drained away, and he turned abruptly from Harry to gaze out of the window of his office. The silence now present in the room hung thickly between them. Harry opened his mouth to speak and then promptly closed it again, before he put his foot even further into what he knew had upset George. Turning back to face Harry, George quietly said, “Since Weasleys’ became Weasley, my heart's not in jokes and frivolity.”

Stepping forward, Harry reached out and gave George’s shoulder a reassuring squeeze. “God, George, I’m so sorry. Mouth working faster than brain. You know I’ll support you in whatever new development you want me to try out.”

“Thanks, Harry. Here." George handed the surveillance device back to Harry. "Take this pair and give them a go. Let me know how they fare in the field. I can make any modifications you require."

For the second year running, Draco Malfoy looked over and caught sight of Harry staring at him through the drifting steam of the Hogwart’s Express. He nodded once, slowly, and then turned away to walk with his son along the platform. Harry checked his surroundings. With no one else near him, he raised George’s Transnoculars and tracked Malfoy’s departure. Licking his lips, Harry noted that the long time object of his desire may have a receding hairline, but Draco Malfoy still had a mighty fine arse indeed.
