Okay, so I'm now another year older - thanks so much to [livejournal.com profile] saladbats, [livejournal.com profile] earth_magic and [livejournal.com profile] spark_of_chaos for the birthday greetings - and I can honestly say wiser. RL has been somewhat troublesome over the last year but we are now in calmer waters, thank goodness.

As for fandom, I'll be in the US in 10 weeks with [livejournal.com profile] saladbats and [livejournal.com profile] winnett for Lubricus and am looking forward to meeting up with old friends again and finally meeting [livejournal.com profile] geoviki. *is excited*

Taking stock of my interests, original work, managa and online comics still hold most of my interest and that's what I'll be posting about so I'm now looking for folks who have something in common with me, hence a shake up of my flist. I could use filters, but to me that always seems so two-faced (IMO). If I remove someone who has an interest in original slash recs and wants to stay around, let me know.

First and foremost... Happy Birthday!!!!! *grins* I hope you had an awesome day!

Oh, Luci...I still <3 you. I still hang around and show up every now and then. As long as you are unlocked, you will still show up in my list, whether I am in yours or not. Heck, mine isn't even that interesting right now - I either talk about absolutely nothing, rant and rave, or hide and lurk and just don't talk.

I still write. I love manga. I love original fic as much as I love fanfic. Sometimes life just hits hard, and you have to take care of life

*HUGS* so - whether I make the "cut" or not, and I think I may have not made it awhile back, you are still here on mine. I see your name and remember happier times. No hurt feelings I promise (even though I will secretly cry and scream into my pillow "WHY?")

I didn't know you liked original stuff. I'll add you back my dear. Do you follow the slash pile newsletter?

i haven't been following much of anything since Keira was born. I just manage to read every now and then. I have been completely immersed in her, the divorce, Ali growing up on me (she is 12!!), school, and work.

Where is the slash pile newsletter? I would so totally follow it.

Ah, 12. Has she entered the terrible teens yet?

Here you go:

Oh my word...I am not looking forward to that "terrible teen" - the pre-teen is already killing me. Can we say attitude? Can we say smart-ass? Okay, granted, 9 times out of 10 what she says is not only true but so incredibly hilarious - it is hard to correct her and maintain composure.

I think the hardest part is that my brother is now living with us with his wife and two kids. Ali is the oldest by a year and a half. Sometimes it is a huge distance, other times it isn't. So, I can't always blame her on her attitude. She is growing and attituding, but still expected to play like one of the younger ones. (And her baby sister is 7 years younger than her)

*runs off to follow slash pile*

You certainly have a house full. I hope you have lots of patience and find some 'me time'.
