Once again I'm stuned by the inventiveness of the H/D fandom.

[livejournal.com profile] hd_inspired had over 200 prompts for our Back to School fest!

hd_inspired goes Back to School

We've catagorised them into 4 goups for your viewing pleasure:

Miscellany: Prompts that don’t quite fit anywhere else.
The Canon Years: Harry and Draco’s years at Hogwarts as students. This includes prompts taking place during Deathly Hallows.
The “8th” Year: These prompts take the boys back to Hogwarts to complete a final year after the war is over.
Post-Deathly Hallows: This is the largest group and has anything taking place after Deathly Hallows (except those in the previous group). It includes prompts that are EWE, epilogue-compliant, with or without next gen children, etc.

You can read them here.

I guess that means I really should get a move on with my 8th year WIP before there's a ton of 8th year fic coming in... ;)

Who did say H/D was dead, btw? It seems very alive and kicking to me :)

There was all this talk after DH came out that the fandom was dying (our corner). I think it was because some of the old guard had moved on, but that makes way for the new, doesn't it?

*nods* It seems to me that people are moving on all the time, but yes, so far there has never been a lack of new writers to replace those who left - and it isn't as if everyone who was here before book 7 had jumped ship either ;)

It would have had 3 more if I'd logged in before the closing of the prompts. *g*

I was actually thinking of them during my Thursday exam and wrote a few key words on my draft paper to make sure I remember to write them and submit them. Which, of course, I did too late.

Good luck with this and I hope I'll catch one of the prompts I have on my 'try to get' list (which has only 30 prompts *is proud*)

30?

I hope you've wittled it down some more overnight.

How's the AS/S fest going? I've barely had time to read many, but I will.

I haven't yet, but I will soon.

The fest is going great :) My co-mod took over during my family crisis and now I'm getting ready to get back to it. The fics and art are wonderful, and I'm not saying it just because it's my fest. I'll make a round-up post soon and maybe you'll be more tempted to read :)

Thank you and the other mods for putting this up together. It's a massive work and I appreciate (as do many others, I'm sure!) every bit of time and effort you put into this comm.

Thank you! *hugs*

(and wish me luck for tomorrow's claiming *bwee*)

LOL!

We thought it would be easier! In some ways it's been more complicated behind the scenes, so thanks for your thanks!
