In most NC-17 slash fics I have read (that are not non-con) there is usually an element of preparation in the form of stretching the anus by hand or by spell, before the fucking begins.

After having watched 42 hours of QAF (US series 1 and 2) I have yet to see anything resembling that taking place, and I don't mean close shots of Brian with his fingers up Justin's arse. All fucking on the show (so far seen) consists of some fore play - kissing, sucking of nipples or cock, then condom on and straight in. Lube rarely puts in an appearance.

I can't help but wonder how painful it is to be penetrated without prior preparation.

i don't fancy hunter/damon much either, but the comstock films are really fabulous because not only do they film a real couple having real sex (as opposed to porn sex which is v. showy), but they also have discussions with the couple about their relationship and sex lives. it is the best thing i aquired for information since i write male/male erotica (though the doco about the making of a gay porno is also v. v. useful because of the interviews and discussions with the actors and film crew). i know feel i can write a sex scene without wondering if two guys could really do that.

i was amused you can't buy actual porn on amazon (understandable) but that you can buy documentaries about porn (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CCW2N4/sr=8-13/qid=1155364764/ref=sr_1_13/103-3499540-4511037?ie=UTF8 among others). i'll wager the uk amazon has it as well, and then you aren't even importing.
